The Iowa Section is a local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
We have technical committees for the following five disciplines:
- Environmental and Water Resources
- Geotechnical
- Highways and Transportation
- Structural
- Surveying and Mapping
Each technical committee conducts an annual conference for ASCE members in a state that has required continuing education for license renewal since 1980.
The Iowa Section includes Younger Member Groups in the Ames-Des Moines and Cedar Rapids-Iowa City areas and Student Chapters at Iowa State University and The University of Iowa.
