The Iowa Section has more than 600 professional members with careers at all levels of government, in public utilities, and in consulting engineering firms. We have technical committees for the following five disciplines:

• Environmental and Water Resources
• Geotechnical
• Highways and Transportation
• Structural
• Surveying and Mapping

Each technical committee conducts an annual conference for ASCE members in a state that has required continuing education for license renewal since 1980.

The Iowa Section includes Younger Member Groups in the Ames-Des Moines and Cedar Rapids-Iowa City areas and Student Chapters at Iowa State University and The University of Iowa.
